Ways We Come Together

Covered Dish Lunches

Four or five times per year, our Congregational Nurture Team sponsors a covered dish luncheon immediately following worship. The team always has a theme up their sleeves! Everyone is invited to attend lunch and there is always enough food!

Ladies Circle

Each month, from September through May, women of the church meet for Bible Study. An evening group meets on the second Tuesday at 5:30 in different member’s homes and a morning group meets in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month.

Engagement with Sister Churches

Brunswick is lucky to have three PC(USA) churches! This provides a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and combined worship. Presently we do combined special worship service with Altama and Brunswick Second. We worship together on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunrise and Pentecost. We also worship at Blythe Island with our sister churches the first Sunday in November.

Hanging of the Greens & Chili Supper

On the first Wednesday of Advent (usually!), the Congregational Nurture team hosts a Chili Supper and Hanging of the Greens to get our Sanctuary and Church Building ready for the Christmas Season. A huge live tree in always provided by a member. Decorations fly and in no time, everyone is sitting down to a great meal!
